Mickey drives up to Minnie's house to take her on a picnic. Minnie asks if she can bring her "little Rover", and Rover turns out to be a bloodhound as big as Mickey. They tie him to the back of the car and set off, but on the way Rover spots two rabbits and gives chase, dragging the car behind him.

Mickey, Donald and Goofy run a roadside garage. Pete roars up and demands they fix a squeak in his car, or else. The three tear into the job. They hunt for the squeak through the whole car, and Mickey finally traces it to a grasshopper stuck inside.
